George Konidaris

George Konidaris is an accomplished academic and entrepreneur, currently serving as an Associate Professor at Brown University since September 2016. In addition, Konidaris co-founded Lelapa AI in February 2022, and holds the positions of Founder & Chief Scientific Advisor and Founder & Chief Roboticist at Realtime Robotics, Inc., established in April 2016. Konidaris also contributes as an Advisor for BotBuilt since February 2023 and for Luminous since November 2023. Previous academic roles include Assistant Professor at Duke University and Postdoctoral Researcher at MIT. Educational credentials include a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, an MSc in Artificial Intelligence from The University of Edinburgh, and a BScHons in Computer Science from the University of the Witwatersrand. Research interests focus on hierarchical learning and planning for intelligent robotics.
