Asaleeka Whyte-Reyes, LMSW, currently serves as the Upper School Counselor at Léman Manhattan Preparatory School since August 2024. Previous experience includes positions as a Social Worker at DREAM (formerly Harlem RBI) and as a Telehealth Therapist at Embrace Peace Behavioral Health Services, where Asaleeka provided individual and group therapy and collaborated with other professionals to develop treatment plans. Asaleeka has also worked as a School Social Worker at Achievement First and KIPP NYC, served as the Dean of Student Culture at Democracy Prep Public Schools, and held the role of Forensic Social Worker at The Federal Defenders of New York. Asaleeka holds a Master of Social Work degree from New York University and has a strong foundation in criminal justice education from CUNY institutions and the University of South Carolina.
