Joshua Outwater

Joshua Outwater is an accomplished engineering leader with extensive experience in technology and software development. Currently serving as Director of Engineering at LendingClub since September 2014, Outwater has successfully managed multiple distributed teams and integrated diverse technologies and vendors to enhance customer engagement for over four million members. Previous roles at LendingClub include Head of Engineering and Senior Development Manager, with significant contributions to product development and architecture. Prior experience includes a Vice President role at BlackRock, where Outwater led the UI architecture for a portfolio management system, and key roles at Apple and Sun Microsystems focused on software engineering and development. Outwater holds a BS in Computer Science from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo.
