Giorgi Abashidze

Giorgi Abashidze has a diverse and extensive work experience in the software development field. Giorgi currently holds the position of Senior Back-end Engineer at Leneo A/S since May 2022. In this role, they are responsible for developing and enhancing the .NET Core API system, creating and maintaining automated tests, integrating with external systems, and conducting code reviews.

Prior to their current role, Giorgi worked at Alta Software as a Lead Software Engineer from February 2021 to May 2022, where they led a development team, implemented source control systems, introduced CI/CD pipelines, and met the growing demands of Georgia's largest banks. Giorgi also held the position of Software Development Lead from December 2016 to August 2021, where they improved software development processes and automated SQL upgrade scripts generation. Before that, they worked as a Senior Software Engineer from May 2014 to December 2016.

Giorgi also has experience as a T-SQL Trainer at Electronic Academy from May 2020 to October 2021 and as a Senior Software Developer at Asseco Georgia from January 2013 to May 2014.

During their tenure at the International Bank of Azerbaijan - Georgia from December 2009 to January 2013, Giorgi served as a Software Developer and contributed to critical integration projects, including automating account arrests and deploying a system for inter-bank transactions.

Giorgi's career began at Alta Software in February 2006 as a Software Developer, where they worked on developing loan management systems for micro-finance organizations and Georgian banks. Giorgi gained experience with Borland Delphi and other technologies during these projects.

Prior to that, they worked at TBC Bank as a Software Developer from June 2005 to February 2006, where they developed and maintained the bank's local loan management system using Borland Delphi.

Giorgi's first professional experience was as a Junior Developer at Alta Software from July 2003 to June 2005. There, they developed supporting programs for Georgian banks, gaining valuable experience with Borland Delphi and SQL Server.

Giorgi Abashidze completed their Bachelor's degree in Applied Mathematics and Computer Science from Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, studying from 1999 to 2003. In July 2014, they obtained certifications from Microsoft, including Exam 483: Programming in C# and Microsoft Certified Professional.
