Volker Pyrtek has an extensive work experience, beginning with Bayer in 1985 where they held the role of Controlling Engineering Division, Chief of Staffs, Logistics, and others. In 1996, they became the Speaker of the Board of Management for Spütz AG and in 1999 they founded Goodex AG, where they were the Member of the Board and Europe's #1 B2B e-auction provider. The company was later sold to ARIBA. In 2002, they joined T-Mobile as CPO and in 2007 they became CPO & Member of the European Operations Board for Deutsche Telekom. In 2011, they co-founded BuyIn and served as CEO. In 2020, they were a Senior Advisor for both INKEF Capital and Oliver Wyman. In 2021, they took on the role of interims CFO & Investor for Lengoo.
Volker Pyrtek received their Doctorate in Business Administration from the University of Cologne in 1987. In 2006, they began attending the London School of Economics for a field of study in Transformation & Disruption. In 2015, they began attending Stanford University for a field of study in Disruption & Design Thinking Management Education.
