Smeer Chopra

Smeer Chopra is the current Chief Financial Officer at Lenskart.com. Prior to this, they were the Vice President of Finance at Bharti Retail Ltd. from January 2014 to May 2015. In this role, they were responsible for spearheading all the key business finance verticals, including commercial finance, merchandising finance, supply chain finance and real estate finance. Smeer was also accountable for partnering and collaborating with key business functions in driving strategic initiatives around revenue enhancement, Opex reduction, margin enhancement, driving working capital improvement, lead long term financial evaluation of existing store portfolio and strengthening governance.

From July 2007 to December 2013, Chopra served as the Vice President-Merchandise Planning at Bharti Wal-Mart. In this role, they were responsible for overseeing the merchandise planning function for the company.

Chopra began their career at Coca-Cola India in January 2006 as the Controller - Bottling HQ Finance. In this role, they were responsible for the financial management of the bottling operations for Coca-Cola India. Smeer held this position until December 2005 when they were promoted to General Manager-Business Processes. In this role, they were responsible for overseeing the business processes for Coca-Cola India.

Smeer Chopra's educational career began at Kulachi Hans Raj Model School, where they completed their higher secondary education in commerce. Smeer then went on to study accounting at the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) and the Institute of Cost and Work Accountants of India (ICWAI). Finally, they completed their education at Delhi University.

They are on a team with Aditya Joshi - Chief of Staff, Indranil Chakravarty - Chief Business Officer, and Luca Baldin - Chief Merchandising Officer. Smeer Chopra reports to Peyush Bansal, Founder, CEO & Customer Happiness Officer.
