Mike Kruizenga has extensive work experience in sales, particularly in the ophthalmic industry. Mike started their career in 1985 as an Account Executive/Sales Representative at GTE Directories Sales Corporation, where they excelled in selling in competitive areas and establishing customer relations. From 1987 to 1989, they worked as an Account Executive/Surgical Representative at IOLAB Intraocular, a Johnson & Johnson company. In 1989, they joined CHIRON/INTRAOPTICS as a Territory Manager, where they called on ophthalmologists, sold intraocular lenses (IOLs) and cataract products, and successfully increased territory by 18% annually. In 1991, they moved to Bausch & Lomb and took on the role of Senior Territory Manager. Mike sold intraocular lenses and ophthalmic surgery related products, identified potential customers, cold called competitors' customers, and spent 80% of their sales time in surgery developing relationships. Mike held this position until 2008. Afterward, they joined Baush & Lomb Surgical as a Senior Territory Manager until 2010. From 2010 to 2016, they worked as a sales representative at HOYA Surgical Optics. Currently, they are a Sales Representative at Lenstec UK.
Mike Kruizenga completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Marketing from Washington State University between 1979 and 1982. Additionally, they pursued a BA in Business from the Washington State University College of Business and Economics from 1978 to 1982.
