Gustav Ramnér has a diverse work experience in the engineering field. Gustav started their career as a Test Lab Summer Intern at Diab in 2019, where they efficiently managed R&D test samples and contributed to quality control by developing a machine-specific performance metrics database. In 2017, Gustav served as the Emergency Braking Project Manager at HYPED, overseeing the creation and manufacturing of the company's first emergency brake sub-system for the Hyperloop prototype. Gustav successfully collaborated with industry experts to develop a custom friction material and brake pad, resulting in a significant achievement of placing 6th globally in Elon Musk's Hyperloop competition. In 2020, Gustav joined Denis Ferranti Meters ltd as an Aerospace Design Engineer, where they played a crucial role in creating the company's first Validation and Verification plan as well as a Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis plan. Gustav also developed an aerospace electric motor technical specification by engaging with project partners. Currently, Gustav is working at Lenz Labs as an Electromechanical Engineer, where they have developed the first of its kind Traction Hub, increasing the effective traction of a railway vehicle by 20% during testing. Gustav'scontributions in managing workflows, product development, and design have resulted in securing a significant contract with the U.K.
Gustav Ramnér began their education in 2013 at Internationella Engelska Gymnasiet Södermalm, where they pursued the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme until 2014. From 2014 to 2016, they attended the International School of Helsingborg, where they completed their high school education and obtained their degree. Following this, Gustav enrolled at The University of Edinburgh in 2016 and pursued a Master of Engineering (MEng) with Honours in the field of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering. Gustav successfully completed this program in 2021. In 2018, Gustav also had the opportunity to participate in an exchange program at The University of Texas at Austin, where they further enhanced their knowledge in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering.
