John Hayes

John Hayes is a highly experienced Senior Imaging Scientist and Medical Imaging Engineer at Leo Cancer Care since August 2020, with a robust background in medical image reconstruction and optimization. Previously, John served as a Research Assistant at the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Medicine and Public Health from August 2014 to August 2020, focusing on enhancing computed-tomography (CT) imaging technologies for medical diagnostics and cancer treatment. Earlier roles include Health Physicist and Nuclear Engineer at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, an International Research Intern at Centro Atomico Bariloche, and a Graduate Student Instructor at the University of Michigan. John holds both Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in Nuclear Engineering from the University of Michigan, emphasizing expertise in advancing radiation detection and imaging techniques.
