Human-centred Design Consultant at Leo Cancer Care

Ross Tierney is a Human-Centred Design Consultant at Leo Cancer Care since June 2021, contributing to innovative approaches in radiation therapy. Previously, Ross served as a Design Engineer at Andiamo, where the focus was on creating a user-centred children's orthotics service that significantly reduced wait times. Ross also worked as a Design Engineer and PhD Researcher at Cranfield University in collaboration with The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, exploring Reverse Innovation in sanitation and enhancing waterless toilets through user insights and technology transfer. Earlier experiences include designing a waterless toilet system for a multidisciplinary team and developing a community stove project for Childreach International. Ross holds a PhD in Reverse Innovation for Sanitation and a Master of Research in Industrial Design, alongside a BA in Product Design from The University of Salford.
