Iris Brey

Iris Brey is a seasoned professional in the fields of film criticism, academia, and media production. Currently serving as an auteure for "Sex and the Series" and a radio chroniqueuse for France Culture, Brey also holds the position of réalisateur for the documentary series "Sex and the Series." Brey has contributed as a series critic for Les Inrockuptibles and has extensive teaching experience, including a role as a university lecturer in French cinema at the University of California. Brey has accomplished a Ph.D. in French Language and Literature from New York University, where the dissertation focused on representations of mothers in the films of notable directors. Additionally, Brey has participated in prestigious events such as being a selectionneur for the Semaine de la Critique at the Cannes Film Festival and delivering a TED Talk.
