Yixin Chen

Yixin Chen, PhD, currently serves as a Design Engineer at LERA Consulting Structural Engineers since January 2024. Prior experience includes work as an Engineer at CHI Consulting Engineers, LLC from August 2022 to December 2023, where Yixin conducted finite element analysis (FEA) using various software tools. Yixin was previously a Structural Engineering Graduate Research Assistant at ATLSS Structural Engineering Research Center, engaged in hands-on laboratory work and extensive finite element modeling from September 2016 to August 2022. Yixin also contributed as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Lehigh University and completed internships focusing on bridge engineering and construction. Yixin earned a PhD in Structural Engineering and a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from Lehigh University, following a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering from Tongji University.
