Kirsten Fantazir, PhD, serves as the President’s Applied Research Chair in Public Safety at Lethbridge Polytechnic, where responsibilities include building the Centre for Public Safety Applied Research and collaborating with industry partners to address justice-related research needs. As an instructor in the School of Justice Studies, Kirsten teaches various justice programs while employing innovative teaching methods and conducting research in educational tools. Past roles include instructional designer and course writer, distance learning chair, and police recruit instructor, all showcasing a commitment to enhancing educational experiences and outcomes. Kirsten holds multiple degrees, including a PhD in Psychology focused on technology integration in learning, and has received numerous awards for teaching excellence and innovation.
