Carlos Sánchez Mendoza

Head of Artificial Intelligence at Let's Enhance

Carlos Sánchez Mendoza has an extensive work experience in the field of Artificial Intelligence. In 2007, they began their career as a PhD Student at Universidad de Sevilla. In 2010, they became a Visiting Researcher at the Pulmonary and Critical Care Division of Brigham and Women's Hospital. In 2012, they were a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Children's National Medical Center - Sheikh Zayed Institute for Pediatric Surgical Innovation and an Assistant Professor at Universidad de Sevilla. From 2013 to 2015, they worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and a Technical Founder at TEXALIGN. In 2015, they became a Postdoctoral Fellow at IE Business School. From 2018 to 2019, they were the Head of Artificial Intelligence - Everis NextGen, leading a team of 12 engineers and developers. During their time at Snappet, they held the roles of Director of Data Science and Head of Data Science. Currently, they are the Head of Artificial Intelligence at Let's Enhance.

Carlos Sánchez Mendoza has obtained a B.Sc in Telecommunications Engineering from the Universidad de Sevilla from 2000 to 2006, an M.Sc in Electronics, Signal Processing and Communication from the same institution from 2006 to 2007, and a Ph.D in Medical Image Processing from the Universidad de Sevilla from 2007 to 2011. Additionally, they have obtained certifications from Coursera in Deep Learning Specialization, Sequence Models, Convolutional Neural Networks, Improving Deep Neural Networks: Hyperparameter tuning, Regularization and Optimization, Structuring Machine Learning Projects, and Neural Networks and Deep Learning, obtained between December 2017 and September 2018.
