Simon McAuliffe

Simon McAuliffe has a diverse work experience in software engineering. Simon currently works as a Software Engineer at Level since January 2023. Prior to this, Simon worked at Signify Health as a Staff Engineer from June 2022 to January 2023. Simon was hired to re-architecture episodes of care, which were later discontinued, but they stayed until the end of the year to support the business.

Before joining Signify Health, Simon worked at Toast as a Staff Software Engineer and Team Lead. From November 2021 to June 2022, they managed a team of 5 direct reports for the credit card pricing team, partnering with leadership to determine the team's direction and solve stakeholder problems. Simon also designed a cross-cutting Usage Based Pricing initiative.

Prior to Toast, Simon was a Software Engineer at Amazon from June 2020 to November 2021. Simon designed and built a Data Lake for Blink's 50+ tiers, anonymizing customer data for broader BI access. The Data Lake sourced from DynamoDB and MySQL databases.

Simon also worked at Toast, Inc. as a Staff Software Engineer and Team Lead from March 2019 to June 2020. Simon led and managed the Toast Capital Engineering team, building a loan servicing and origination product using Apache Camel and Dropwizard.

Before joining Toast, Simon worked at athenahealth in various roles. From February 2019 to March 2019, they were a Principal Member Of Technical Staff, serving as Scrum Master and Tech Lead for a team that stabilized the hospital charging infrastructure. From February 2017 to February 2019, they were a Lead Member Of Technical Staff, successfully fixing financial reconciliation issues and designing a new hospital claim management system. Simon also served as a Senior Developer from February 2016 to February 2017, leading financial integrations for athenaCollector for Hospitals. Prior to that, they were a Software Developer as part of a team that helped rewrite an acquisition's billing workflows to accommodate the ICD-10 transition.

Simon started their career as a Junior Engineer at intuVision, Inc. from May 2011 to November 2013. Simon also had an internship at FloDesign WindTurbine in 2010.

Simon McAuliffe attended Minnechaug Regional High School but the duration and degree obtained are unknown. Later, from 2007 to 2011, they pursued a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Electrical Engineering at the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
