James York

Senior Vice President Commercial Banking at Level One Bank

James York has extensive work experience in the banking and real estate industry. James started their career in 1991 as a Financial Analyst with Independence One Mortgage Corp. James then moved to New Plan Excel Realty Trust as a Leasing Representative in 1994. In 1995, they joined Michigan National Bank as a VP. James worked there until 1999 when they joined Bank United as a VP. In 2001, Washington Mutual acquired Bank United and James opened the Detroit Regional loan production office. James managed the office until 2004 when Washington Mutual exited commercial real estate lending. During this time, they received the 2004 sales recognition award and consistently exceeded production goals. In 2004, they joined Franklin Bank as a Senior Vice President, where they established and managed the Midwest Regional loan production office. James achieved profitability within the third operating month and maintained an annual profitability of $2.3MM. James moved to MMC Group LP in 2008, where they served as a Senior Asset Servicing Professional until 2009. James then joined SolomonEdwardsGroup as an Asset Manager for a brief period before joining Huron Consulting Group as an Asset Servicing Professional in 2010. James is currently working at Level One Bank as a Senior Vice President in Commercial Banking.

James York attended Eastern Michigan University from 1986 to 1991. James earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree with a focus in Finance.
