Van S. has a diverse work experience in the legal and regulatory field. Currently, Van holds the position of Senior Director, Legal and Regulatory Affairs at LevelTen Energy since November 2021. Prior to that, Van worked at Van Ness Feldman LLP, where they served as Of Counsel from October 2020 to November 2021, and as an Associate from October 2011 to October 2020. Before joining Van Ness Feldman LLP, Van worked at Abt Associates as an Analyst from 2007 to 2008. Van also has experience as a Water and Sanitation Volunteer for the U.S. Peace Corps from 2004 to 2006 and as a Research Assistant / Associate Analyst at Abt Associates from 2001 to 2004.

Van S. completed a Bachelor of Science in Civil & Environmental Engineering at Duke University from 1997 to 2001. Following this, Van pursued a Juris Doctor (JD) at Georgetown University Law Center, where they studied from 2007 to 2011. In the same period, they also attended Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) and obtained a Master of Arts (MA) in International Affairs.
