Emily Elstub currently serves as a Senior Associate at Principia Advisory, a leading firm focused on organizational ethics, since August 2022. Additionally, Emily holds positions as a Research Associate at the Institute for Ethics in Technology - TUHH and as a Student Fellow at the Leverhulme Centre for the Future of Intelligence. Emily's academic background includes a Doctor of Philosophy in Ethics of Emerging Technologies from the University of Cambridge (expected June 2026), a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and Psychology from the University of Oxford, and a Master's in Applied Ethics from Utrecht University. Notably, Emily excelled at the City of London Freemen's School, achieving 4 A* in A Level Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Physics, and Philosophy.

Our mission at the Leverhulme Centre for the Future of Intelligence (CFI) is to work across research disciplines and sectors to ensure AI is a force for good. Based at the University of Cambridge, we also have spokes at Imperial College London, and at the University of California, Berkeley. CFI advances research on the nature, ethics and impact of AI and explores the opportunities and challenges of this potentially epoch-making technology, in the short-term as well as the long-term.
