Ivan Netuka

Professor of Cardiac Surgery and Chairman of the Department of Cardiovascular Surgery at IKEM, Prague. Dr. Netuka has authored and published over 100 peer-reviewed book chapters and manuscripts focusing predominantly on all aspects of advanced heart failure, cardiac transplantation, surgical treatment modalities and alternatives to transplantation with a special focus on mechanical circulatory assistance. In 2014 he has been elected as a member of the Executive Committee of EUROMACS/EACTS. Additionally, he serves as a reviewer for numerous international professional cardiology and cardiothoracic surgery journals. Among his international longer-term professional assignments, Norway, Germany, India and most recently in 2016 Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School.
