Robert Thompson is the founder, chairman, and CEO of Lewis and Clark Pharmaceuticals. Prior to this, they were the synthesis group leader/senior organic chemist at Sigma Aldrich Research Biochemicals Inc, where they oversaw the synthesis of biochemicals for the pharmaceutical industry. Robert also worked as the chief executive officer of Purnovate, LLC from January 2020 to January 2021, where they focused on inventing and developing selective, potent, stable, and soluble adenosine analogs to treat diseases and disorders such as pain, cocaine addiction, inflammation, infectious disease, cancer, asthma, and diabetes. Prior to that, they were the CEO of Lewis and Clark Pharmaceuticals from January 2012 to July 2017. Before that, they were the VP of Chemistry at PGX Health from August 2008 to March 2011. And before that, they were the director of chemistry/VP of Chemistry at Adenosine Therapeutics from September 2001 to July 2008.

Robert Thompson has a PhD in Organic Chemistry from Brigham Young University and a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry/Math from Southern Utah University.
