Paul Barba

Chief Scientist at Lexalytics

Paul Barba started their work experience in 2007 as a Development Intern at Lexalytics, where they gained hands-on development experience and also did data annotation. Paul then worked as a Software Engineer from June 2008 to August 2011, taking a lead role in building the core Text Analytics product and learning about NLP and Machine Learning. In January 2015, they became a Senior Software Architect, where they defined and architectured the core text analytics products and managed their development. In January 2016, they were promoted to Chief Scientist, overseeing the roll-out of cutting-edge technology and pushing forward with novel research and development. Additionally, from September 2007 to May 2008, they worked as a Comp Sci Tutor at the University of Massachusetts Amherst.

Paul Barba attended the University of Massachusetts Amherst from 2005 to 2008, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Mathematics.
