Laura Ruberg, MSES, MPA, currently serves as an APHL-CDC Environmental Health Fellow and Health Physicist at the Arizona Department of Health Services, focusing on the Bureau of Radiation Control's Radiation Measurements Laboratory since August 2022. Ruberg has extensive experience in epidemiology as an investigator of Covid-related deaths in Fayette County with the Lexington-Fayette County Health Department and previously worked as a Communicable Disease Investigator at WEDCO District Health Department. Professional history includes roles as an Environmental Scientist at T.H.E. Engineers, Inc. and as a Coastal Resource Management Volunteer with the Peace Corps, where significant projects included building a mangrove eco-park and launching a coral nursery. Educational credentials include dual master's degrees in Environmental Science and Public Affairs from the O'Neill School and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Centre College. Ruberg enhances scientific research with advanced technical skills gained through various laboratory positions and internships.
