Cynthia Thaxton

Cynthia Thaxton has extensive work experience in the legal field. Cynthia is currently employed as an In-House Counsel at Alsco since May 2023. Prior to this, they worked at Lexington Law Firm as the Chief Compliance Officer from October 2020 and as an Assistant Managing Attorney from November 2014 to March 2023. Before joining Lexington Law Firm, they worked as an Associate Attorney at Morris Sperry from December 2013 to September 2014. Cynthia also served as a Law Clerk at the U.S. Department of State from September 2012 to April 2013. Additionally, they gained experience as a Judicial Extern to The Honorable Penny S. Azcarate at Fairfax County General District Court from January 2012 to May 2012. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Summer Associate at Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP in 2011, as a Paralegal at Shearman & Sterling LLP from October 2009 to July 2010, and as a Legal Assistant at Vinson & Elkins from August 2008 to August 2009.

Cynthia Thaxton earned their Juris Doctor degree from George Mason University - Antonin Scalia Law School between 2010 and 2013. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in International Relations and Arabic at William & Mary from 2004 to 2008.
