Charles Miner

Charles Miner currently serves as a Professional Services Specialist at Lexipol since September 2022, where the focus is on providing policy, training, and wellness support to public safety and local governments in the U.S. In addition, Charles has been the Mayor of Long Lake since January 2019, guiding city staff, engaging with the community, advocating for residents and businesses, ensuring fiscal responsibility, and promoting economic development. Charles has extensive experience in law enforcement, previously holding multiple roles at the University of Minnesota Police Department from April 1995 to July 2022, including Deputy Chief of Police, where responsibilities included managing personnel, overseeing investigations, and handling labor relations. Educational credentials include a Master’s Degree in Public Affairs from the University of Minnesota and a Bachelor’s in Law Enforcement & Public Administration from Minnesota State University, Mankato, along with advanced training at the FBI National Academy and the Police Executive Research Forum.
