Liz Pruttianan

Liz Pruttianan is an experienced researcher and engineering professional with extensive expertise in human-centered design and systems safety. Currently serving as Director of Research at Lextant since March 2017, Liz has held various roles at the company, including Associate Director and Senior Research Associate. Prior experience includes working as a Graduate Research Assistant at Virginia Tech's Virginia Cognitive Systems Engineering Lab and Vanderbilt University Medical Center, focusing on human-system interaction technology in both nuclear and healthcare contexts. Additionally, Liz has a notable history in maintenance improvement and project management at Gerdau Long Steel North America and experience in mechanical engineering through internships at Alcoa and Gresham, Smith and Partners. Liz holds a Master of Science in Industrial and Systems Engineering from Virginia Tech and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
