Leyden Academy on Vitality and Ageing
Marleen Dohmen is a PhD candidate at Leyden Academy on Vitality and Ageing since January 2020, focusing on research and education regarding the quality of life of older individuals, alongside writing a dissertation on moral dynamics in nursing homes. Prior to this role, Marleen completed a graduation internship at TNO in 2019, where an experiment on user experience for a virtual reality platform was independently developed and executed. Marleen's professional background also includes administrative positions and as a ROM coordinator at GGZ Delfland from 2012 to 2019, involving client assessments and coordinating departmental processes. Marleen holds a Master of Science in Applied Cognitive Psychology from Leiden University and has completed various studies, including a minor in Interactive Environments at Delft University of Technology and an Honours College program in Science and Society at Leiden University. Educational foundations were established at Erasmus College Zoetermeer, where a VWO diploma was earned.
