Rene Ploegsma

Rene Ploegsma has a diverse work experience, holding various leadership roles in finance, management, and advisory positions. Rene has worked as the CFO of LeydenJar since 2022. Prior to that, they founded Finexo in 2015, an investment firm specializing in small and medium-sized enterprises. From 2020 to 2022, they served as the CEO of Nexxtcharge, and in 2020, they also worked as the CFO of HVE, an organization focused on sustainable energy solutions in the real estate sector. From 2015 to 2020, Rene was the Director of Business Operations at Pantar, responsible for finance, IT, and facility management. Before that, they held roles such as Director of Finance at Arriva and Director of Corporate Control at Essent. Rene has also served in advisory roles at Eiffel and worked as the Head of Staff and Finance at the Academic Medical Center (AMC).

Rene Ploegsma graduated from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam) in 1999 with a degree in Qualified Certified Public Accountant (RA) in the field of Economics. Prior to that, from 1987 to 1992, they completed a Bachelor degree in Accountancy at Windesheim. Their education journey began at Rijksscholen gemeenschap Heerenveen from 1982 to 1987, and they attended Commanderije from 1974 to 1982.
