Kyunghoon Bae has extensive work experience in the field of AI research and technology. Kyunghoon is currently serving as the Chief of AI Research at LG AI Research, a position they have held since December 2020. In 2022, they also became the Co Director of the SNU-LG AI Research Center. Previously, Bae worked as the VP and Head of AI Division at LG Corp. from April 2019 to December 2020. Kyunghoon also served as the VP and Head of AI Technology at LG Uplus from December 2017 to March 2019. Before joining LG, Bae worked as a Research Fellow at the LG Economic Research Institute from December 2016 to December 2017. Kyunghoon also served as a Senior Manager at SK Telecom from July 2011 to December 2016 and as a Senior Engineer at Samsung Thales Company, Ltd. from October 2006 to June 2011.
Kyunghoon Bae completed their education in a precise manner. In 2003, they obtained their Ph.D. in Electronic Engineering with a specialization in Computer Vision from Kwangwoon University. In 2004, they pursued a Master's in Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on Project Management at Columbia Southern University. In 2006, they further enhanced their knowledge in Project Management by completing Stanford Advanced Project Management at Stanford University. Most recently, in 2019, they attended Stanford University Graduate School of Business for Executive Education in Big Data and Strategic Decision. Additionally, in 2020, they earned a certification in Artificial Intelligence for Business Strategy from MIT Sloan School of Management.
