William Strachan

William Strachan is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in mechanical design and project management. Currently serving as a Senior Mechanical Engineer at LGS Innovations since March 2018, William has focused on developing mechanics design for optical modems and laser transmitters for spaceflight communications, effectively collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. Previously, at OFS Fitel from September 2006 to March 2018, William led a cross-functional team in the development of optical-fiber-based laser combiners. William also held senior roles at Dialog Semiconductor and JDS Uniphase, where responsibilities included leading development projects for miniature camera modules and high-speed telecommunication receiver products. William holds a Master of Science in Physics from the University of Massachusetts Lowell and a Bachelor of Science in Physics from Seton Hall University.
