Rita Grikinis has extensive work experience in the insurance industry, with a focus on risk control and loss prevention. Rita began their career at Liberty Mutual Insurance in 1989, where they held various titles in loss prevention. In this role, they provided technical support to underwriting and claims, conducted risk assessments, and made recommendations to policyholders to minimize risk. In 1993, Grikinis was promoted to Assistant Vice President of Casualty Risk Control at Liberty Mutual Canada. In this leadership position, they oversaw a team of safety professionals and provided risk control, health and safety, and industrial hygiene services to policyholders in Canada and Liberty Mutual's national market customers.

Rita Grikinis, CRSP, CSP, CRM, completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Health Studies from the University of Waterloo, where they studied from 1984 to 1988. Additionally, they obtained a Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety from Ryerson University. Furthermore, they pursued studies in Canadian Risk Management (CRM) at the University of Toronto Mississauga. In 2013, Rita obtained the Canadian Risk Management (CRM) Designation from the Global Risk Management Institute, Inc.
