Errol Robateau

Errol Robateau has a strong and extensive work experience in finance and accounting. Errol has worked for various companies in different roles throughout their career.

Errol started their career as a Senior Auditor at PKF, where they led and managed a team of external auditors. Errol conducted field audits for companies in diverse industries and advised clients on risks, gaps, and opportunities.

Errol then joined ExxonMobil, where they held multiple positions. As a Senior Financial Analyst, they performed analysis on balance sheet, volumes, unit margins, cash flow forecasting, and CAPEX investment analysis. Errol also managed relationships with external auditors, tax and financial advisors, and consultants. Later, they served as a Global Financial Analyst at ExxonMobil Downstream Global HQ, where they provided analysis and insight on costs across the globe and conducted efficiency and best practice reviews.

At ExxonMobil, Errol also served as a Country Controller, providing oversight in accounting, FP&A, treasury, and tax compliance. Errol partnered with commercial management to provide financial insights and advice on structuring business deals. Errol engaged with external and government representatives to mitigate risk and protect the interests of the company.

Moving on to Puma Energy, Errol held several senior positions. As Deputy CFO / Corporate Controller in the Americas region, they managed regional finance operations, implemented FP&A processes and reporting, and introduced finance KPIs and metrics. Errol also served as CFO for local country operations in Belize, where they managed finance professionals, oversaw treasury and tax planning, and negotiated tax-free zone regimes.

Currently, Errol works as the Senior Director Finance at Liberty of Puerto Rico, starting in 2023.

Errol Robateau has a strong education background in the field of finance and accounting. Errol obtained their Executive Msc. in Finance (with Honors) from HEC Paris from 2016 to 2018. Prior to that, they completed their Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) with a focus on Finance & Management at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs from 2002 to 2004. Additionally, Errol holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Saint Louis University, which they earned between 1990 and 1992.

In terms of certifications, Errol is a Chartered Accountant, having obtained this certification from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Belize. Furthermore, they successfully passed the CPA exam, specifically, all sections of the AICPA Exam in one sitting through Missouri State in the USA, in March 1994.
