Derek Grant Martin

Derek Grant Martin is an accomplished theatre professional currently serving as an Associate Professor of Theatre at Liberty University since July 2025, and as Co-Artistic Director and Executive Director at Americana Theatre Company since July 2020. Martin previously held positions as Professor of Practice in Theatre at Stonehill College from July 2022 to October 2025 and Chairman of the Department of Theatre and Associate Professor of Theatre at Jessup University from December 2012 to October 2023. Prior experience includes serving as Head of the BA Theatre Program at Regent University from July 2009 to June 2012. Martin holds a Master of Fine Arts in Acting and Directing from Regent University (2006-2009) and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre from the University of Hartford (1997-2001).
