Joyce Lu

Joyce Lu is a Playback Theatre Actor at Dailey Innovations Inc since January 2020 and has been the Director of LA Playback Theatre Company since January 2019. With a strong background in improvisational theatre, Joyce plays back true stories shared by audience members. Joyce has been a Certified Practitioner of The Feldenkrais® Method® since August 2010 and serves as an Associate Professor in the Department of Theatre and Dance at Pomona College, focusing on Theatre & Dance and Asian American Studies since July 2008. Additionally, Joyce worked as a Consultant and Facilitator for Be The Change Consulting from January 2020 to December 2023. Academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Performance Studies from the University of California, Berkeley, a Master's Degree in Asian Performance from the University of Hawaii at Manoa, and a Bachelor's Degree in Theatre/Studio Art from Occidental College.
