Sylvia Weck

Sylvia Weck has over two decades of experience in library management and operations. Sylvia started as a Library Associate/Circulation Supervisor in the City of Moreno Valley in 1998, eventually becoming a Librarian in the same city. Sylvia then worked as a Technology Librarian in the City of Carlsbad before becoming a Library Manager in the City of Riverside. Currently, Sylvia serves as the Zone Manager and Deputy Director of Library Operations at Library Systems & Services, LLC, where they oversee multiple libraries, manages budgets, and writes policies and procedures.

Sylvia Weck holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from California State University, San Bernardino completed in 1997. Sylvia also attained a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice and Corrections from California State University-San Bernardino during the same period. Additionally, they completed a Master's Degree in Library Information Science from San Jose State University between 1999 and 2001. Sylvia holds a Certificate in Human Resources Management from the University of California, Riverside (2010-2011) and a Certificate in Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer from the same institution (2003-2005). Furthermore, they obtained an MBA in Business Administration and Librarianship from the University of Redlands between 2006 and 2008.
