Afonso Silva

Afonso Silva began their career in 2017 as a Summer Intern at Armis Group, where they developed an app for canoeing results using Java, C# (.NET Core) and SQL. In the same year, they also joined ISEP - Instituto Superior de Engenharia do Porto as a CDIO-IL Project Member, where they used Scrum methodology and a range of technologies such as Java & .NET Core. In 2018, Silva worked as a Software Engineering Trainee at Vestas, where they were responsible for the design, development and maintenance of multiple Industry 4.0 projects. Afonso also worked as a Software Engineer, Intern at E-goi, where they developed a deliverability web dashboard using Python, Django, PostgreSQL & RRDTool, Munin and httpd. Silva then joined COFCO International in 2019 as a Market Risk Software Engineer, where they were responsible for the design, development and maintenance of the software structure used by Market Risk analysts. Afonso is currently employed as a Software Developer at Lidya since 2022.

Afonso Silva obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from Instituto Superior de Engenharia do Porto between 2015 and 2018. Prior to that, they obtained a High School Diploma from Escola Secundária Garcia de Orta in the field of Sciences and Technologies between 2012 and 2015. Additionally, Afonso Silva has obtained certifications from various institutions, including Coursera, SoloLearn, and others. These certifications include Introduction to Corporate Finance (2021), SoloLearn SQL Course (2019), SoloLearn Python Course (2019), and SoloLearn C# Course (2018).
