Aimee Ormond

Animal Care Supervisor at Lieber Institute for Brain Development

Aimee Ormond has worked in the field of animal care since 2006. Aimee began their career as a Research Assistant/Veterinary Technician at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas in 2006. In 2010, they moved to SoBran-Inc where they held the roles of Senior Laboratory Animal Technician and Trainer. In 2012, they became a Research Specialist at Johns Hopkins University. In 2014, they returned to SoBran-Inc as Lead Veterinary Technician/Trainer. In 2016, they joined SoBran BioScience as a Study Coordinator/IACUC Coordinator and Technical Resource Associate. Since 2019, they have been an Animal Care Supervisor at Lieber Institute for Brain Development and a Veterinary Technician III at SoBran-Inc.

Aimee Ormond began their education in 1998 when they attended the University of Maryland and earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Animal Management and Industry in 2005. During their time at the University of Maryland, they also attended Montgomery College from 2002 to 2003, where they earned an Associate of Arts (A.A.) in General Studies. In 2014, they obtained a Registered Laboratory Animal Technologist RLATG certification from the AALAS.
