Amy Deep-Soboslay has worked in the field of mental health for over twenty years. Amy began their career in 1991 as a Project Coordinator at UPMC - Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic's Child Disorders Research Program for the NIMH R01 grant-funded clinical treatment study, Resources to Enhance the Adjustment of Children (REACH). In this role, they compared the effectiveness of community vs. clinic-provided mental health services for children with conduct disorder. Amy also served as a Consultant, Milieu Therapist, Research Specialist, and Research Associate. In 1999, Amy took on the role of Business and Human Resources Manager at Biognosis, Inc. In 2001, they began working at Adventist HealthCare as a Needs Assessment Counselor and at the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) as a Psychologist. In 2013, they became the Manager of Clinical Assessment at the Lieber Institute for Brain Development.
Amy Deep-Soboslay obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Loyola University Maryland in 1989-1993. Amy then spent one semester studying abroad at the University of Strasbourg in 1992 via St. Joseph's University. Finally, they obtained a Master's Degree in Counseling from the University of Pittsburgh in 1997.
