Lieber Institute for Brain Development
Federica Farinelli has been working in the field of science since 2008. Federica began their career as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Baylor College of Medicine, where they worked until 2010. Federica then moved to Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, where they served as a research senior staff until 2019. Currently, they are a Staff Scientist II at the Lieber Institute for Brain Development.
Federica Farinelli received their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Biophysics from Università degli Studi di Ferrara in 2003, after completing their Master's Degree in Mathemathics from the same university in 2000. Additionally, they obtained two certifications from Coursera in September 2018: R Programming and The Data Scientist’s Toolbox.

The mission of the Lieber Institute for Brain Development (LIBD) is to translate the understanding of basic genetic and molecular mechanisms of schizophrenia and related developmental brain disorders into clinical advances that change the lives of affected individuals.
