Amanda White has over twenty years of experience in communications and public relations. Amanda began their career in 1997 as a Communications Officer at ActionAid, where they managed internal communication channels for staff based within the UK and worked on an international basis to develop communications strategies for ActionAid worldwide. In 2000, they moved to GE Home Lending as a Communications Manager, responsible for internal communications to staff within the company. In 2004, they joined Barts and The London NHS Trust as Communications Manager, where they were responsible for external communications to promote specialist services to patients, commissioners and the public. In 2012, they moved to UCLPartners as Head of Communications, where they led, developed and implemented the communications strategy to support the mission of translating cutting edge research and innovation into measurable health gain for patients and populations in London, across the UK, and globally. In 2018, they joined Health Data Research UK (HDR UK) as Director of Communications and Policy, and later as Executive Director Engagement and Insights and Executive Director of Communications and Engagement. In 2023, they moved to Lifebit as Director of Communications and PR.
Amanda White attended UCL from 1994 to 1997, where they obtained a BSc in Anthropology. Prior to that, they attended The Holt School, Wokingham. No additional certifications are listed.
