Alexander Hoekstra

Alexander Hoekstra is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in biotechnology, community development, and scientific research. Currently serving as Co-Founder, Scientist, and Director of Community at the Rapid Deployment Vaccine Collaborative, Alexander is dedicated to creating accessible and open-source COVID-19 vaccine designs. As a co-founder and board member of the Mind First Foundation and a member of the Lifeboat Foundation's Biotech/Medical Advisory Board, Alexander focuses on uniting diverse stakeholders to advance understanding in mental health and biotechnological risks. Previous roles include project management at Harvard Medical School for the Personal Genome Project and client development at Capture Technologies, along with contributions to various research initiatives and community organizations. Alexander holds a Bachelor of Science in Genomics and Molecular Genetics from Michigan State University.
