Michael Cole

Michael Cole is an accomplished and insightful technology executive with over 30 years’ experience in providing leadership to large, globally distributed technology and operations teams.

As the CIO at LifeLabs, Michael leads the Information Technology team that provides innovative, cost-effective, and secure technology solutions to support the company’s strategic plan and customers. This team prioritizes continuous improvement and aims to maintain the highest levels of service and security while collaborating cross-functionally to drive meaningful change and growth.

Previously, and for more than 13 years, Michael held the position of Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer for Bell Canada, leading a 1,500+ person team accountable for all aspects of Bell Canada’s information technology needs. Prior to that, he held progressively senior roles in both technology and operations management disciplines.

Michael started his career after graduating from the Faculty of Economics at Princeton University. He holds an MBA from the Rotman School of Business, University of Toronto and was named to Canada’s Top 40 Under 40, a list compiled by The Caldwell Partners to celebrate the achievements of Canadians in the private, public, and not-for-profit sectors.  Since 2011, he has been a Board Member at the March of Dimes Canada and previously sat on Boards for both The Source and Q9 Networks.
