Matt Hawken

Matt is a composer, orchestrator, and instrumentalist. Over the last decade, he has composed for feature films, TV, and games, including Till Death (Screen Media Films); Attenborough nature documentaries Green Planet and Dynasties (BBC Natural History Unit); and detective series Silent Witness (BBC 1) and McDonald's and Dodd (ITV); and the videogame DotA2 (Valve Software), played by millions worldwide.

As an instrumentalist, he is known for his characterful and atmospheric cello performances on film and TV scores, including The Capture (BBC 1) and the Oscar-nominated documentary For Sama.

His rock and roll work includes producing orchestrations for Biffy Clyro and Metallica.

He has a degree in music from Oxford University and lives in Milton Keynes, UK.
