Michela Muggeo

Michela Muggeo, PsyD is an experienced clinical psychologist whose specialties include anxiety and mood disorders, behavioral issues related to medical problems, post-traumatic stress disorder, and child and adolescent psychology. She has presented at conferences across the country and collaborated on psychological research published in academic journals.

She worked as a psychologist in Italy before joining the University of Connecticut’s psychiatry department as a postdoctoral research fellow. Dr. Muggeo then practiced as a clinical psychologist at Clarus Health Alliance in Norwich, Connecticut.

She earned a doctoral degree in psychology from the School of Cognitive-Behavioral Psychotherapy and Research and a master’s degree in clinical psychology from Catholic University of Sacred Heart, both in Milan, Italy.

Dr. Muggeo is fluent in English and Italian.
