Michael Nemeth, CPA has over 20 years of experience in the field of auditing and compliance. Michael began their career as a Semi-Senior Accountant at Horowitz & Ullman, PC, where they gained valuable experience in the industry. Michael then moved on to Mahoney Cohen and worked as a Senior Auditor, where they planned and supervised various audit engagements.

In 1998, Michael joined PricewaterhouseCoopers as a Senior Auditor, where they played a significant role in audit engagements and assisted clients in internal control deficiencies. Michael worked with a diverse range of clients, including financial services, utilities, technology, and manufacturing.

In 2001, Michael joined GreenPoint Bank as an Internal Audit Manager where they performed complex audits, supervised special projects, and provided guidance in the implementation of new accounting procedures and systems.

In 2004, they transitioned to First Data Corporation as an Audit Director, Global Sarbanes-Oxley Compliance. In this role, Michael led the Global Sarbanes Oxley Audit Department, overseeing the Annual Control Assessment program, conducting quarterly reviews of internal controls, and collaborating with internal and external auditors. Michael also developed and maintained business relationships with stakeholders.

Their most recent position is as the Director of SOX Compliance & Internal Audit at Lifetime Brands since 2015, where they are responsible for overseeing SOX compliance and internal audit activities.

Throughout their career, Michael has demonstrated a strong understanding of auditing standards and compliance regulations, effectively leading teams, and building relationships with stakeholders.

Michael Nemeth, CPA attended Hofstra University from 1994 to 1996, where they earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree with a specialization in Accounting. In addition, they have obtained the CPA certification from the New York State institution.
