Ryan Weiss has held a variety of software engineering roles since 2004. Ryan began their career as a Network Services Intern at Pacific Gas & Electric, where they conducted a gap analysis of network administration. Ryan then held an Information Systems Security Intern role at Amgen, where they developed an online Project Security Guidance Document and built a lab test server. Ryan also held a Development Information Systems Intern role at Amgen, where they refined the Quarterly Portal Crawler Lifecycle Review and supported various Plumtree portal initiatives. In 2007, they held a Nautical Development Intern role at Environmental Systems Research Institute (ESRI), where they migrated existing VB projects to C#/C++. In 2008, they began their role as a Senior Software Engineering Consultant at Tallan, where they were a senior back-end engineer for development of Disney Movies Online (DMO). In 2012, they took on the role of Senior Software Engineer at Intuary, where they developed and refined web subscription and gifting workflows. In 2016, they moved to Jive Software as a Software Engineer in Professional Services, where they performed intricate upgrades and re-implementations of business-critical customizations. In 2021, they joined KnowBe4 as a Senior Software Engineer, and in 2022 they moved to LiftForward as a Senior Software Engineer.
Ryan Weiss began their educational journey at West Linn High School, where they attended from 1999 to 2003. Ryan then attended California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo from 2003 to 2008, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering. Additionally, they have a Sun Certified Java Programmer (SCJP) certification.
