Taiye Olorunfemi

Taiye Olorunfemi has an extensive work experience spanning several industries. Taiye began their career as a Trainee Process Engineer/CAD Designer at National Engineering and Technical Company in 2002 and worked there until 2003. Taiye then joined Standard Trust Bank Plc as a Team Member in the Domestic Operations department from 2004 to 2005.

In 2005, Olorunfemi joined United Bank For Africa Plc and took on various roles within the organization. Taiye served as a Team Member in the Branch Support (Operations) department from 2005 to 2007, followed by a role as a Team Member in the Core Banking Application Support unit from 2007 to 2010. In this position, they liaised with Finacle consultants, supervised new hires, and carried out end-of-day processing. Taiye then transitioned to the role of Application DBA/BI Analyst, where they implemented, tested, and managed the Business Intelligent platform for UBA Group. Taiye served in this role until 2012.

After leaving UBA, Olorunfemi joined AxaMansard Insurance (formerly Guaranty Trust Assurance plc) as the Head of the Enterprise Application Unit for a brief period from 2012 to 2013. Taiye then joined Union Bank of Nigeria as the Unit Head of BI/Data Warehouse, Project & Solutions Management Department. In this position, they were responsible for the design and development of Cognos Cubes & Framework Manager Model, as well as overseeing the team in performing maintenance and installation/upgrades of Cognos. Taiye worked at Union Bank from 2013 to 2016.

Following Union Bank, Olorunfemi worked at Tenece Professional Services as a Business Intelligence & Data warehousing Consultant from 2016 to 2019. During this time, they provided consulting services to United Bank for Africa Plc.

Most recently, Olorunfemi joined LigaData in 2019 as a Technical Lead, Data Engineering.

Taiye Olorunfemi completed a Post Graduate Program in Artificial Intelligence at The University of Texas at Austin in 2021. Prior to that, they obtained a B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering from Obafemi Awolowo University, which they attended from 1995 to 2001.
