Dennis Trevor

Dennis Trevor is a highly experienced professional in the field of materials science and optical fibers. Currently serving as the Research Development Technical Manager at Lightera since April 2025, Dennis manages the Optical Materials Group, focusing on advancements in materials and fabrication methods for specialty optical fibers. Prior to this role, Dennis worked as the Technical Manager in R&D at OFS Fitel from April 2001 to March 2025, contributing to the optical fiber sector as part of a spin-off from Lucent Technologies, which is owned by Furukawa Electric Company. Dennis's career began at Lucent Technologies / Bell Labs from October 1983 to April 2001, where responsibilities included research and development in basic materials science and chemistry. Dennis holds a PhD in Physical Chemistry from the University of California, Berkeley, and a BS in Chemistry from the Illinois Institute of Technology.
