James Popek

James Popek, CPA has over 15 years of experience in various accounting and finance roles. James is currently the Head of Accounting at LightForce, where they have been since November 2023. James previously served as the Director of Finance / Corporate Controller at LightForce from May 2021 to November 2023. Prior to that, they were the Director of Finance and People at Sea Machines Robotics from March 2019 to May 2021. James also worked as the Controller at Rethink Robotics Inc. from September 2012 to August 2018, and as a Senior Accountant at FORMA Therapeutics from March 2011 to September 2012. James began their career as a Senior Auditor at CBIZ Tofias / Mayer Hoffman McCann P.C. from October 2007 to March 2011, and previously worked as a Senior Accountant at INFINITY PHARMACEUTICALS, INC from January 2005 to October 2007.

James Popek, CPA holds a Masters in Business Administration from Suffolk University (2005-2007) and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Sacred Heart University (2000-2004). James also has a certification as a Certified Public Accountant.
