Clay Damewood

Senior VOIP/PSTN Engineer at LightGrid

Clay Damewood has over 40 years of work experience in the telecommunications industry. Clay began their career in 1979 as a Major in the United States Army. In 1993, they became a Telecom Analyst at First Virginia Bank, where they configured Tandem Network Tri-State systems. From 1996 to 1998, they worked as a Telecommunications Analyst at Sylvan Learning, where they administered the Avaya PBX system and call center programming. Clay then served as Director of Telecommunications at USInternetworking (now AT&T) from 1998 to 2003, where they managed all corporate voice telecommunications assets. In 2003, they became a Lead Telecom Analyst for GSA at CSC, where they were the main catalyst and project manager for the successful AVAYA S8700 PBX installation. From 2004 to 2011, they worked as a Telecommunications Engineer at the US Senate Sergeant At Arms, overseeing the daily OAM of over 20,000 Congressional users. Clay then served as an Avaya Field Service Manager for the US House of Representatives at Avaya, Inc. from 2011 to 2013. Finally, they have been a Senior VOIP/PSTN Engineer at LightGrid, LLC since 2018.

Clay Damewood attended Wake Forest University from 1974 to 1978.
