Ignace Maes

Ignace Maes has a diverse work experience in the field of software engineering. Ignace started their career at appbackr inc. in 2016 as an Android Developer, where they interned abroad in Palo Alto, CA. During their time there, they worked on the development of an Android app called Surf, which is a smart assistant for recommending apps based on user's destinations. In 2018, Ignace joined Lighthouse as a Software Engineer and later progressed to the role of Senior Full-Stack Engineer. Currently, they hold the position of Lead Frontend Engineer at Lighthouse.

Ignace Maes holds a Master of Science degree in Information Engineering Technology from Ghent University, which they completed from 2016 to 2018. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's degree in Applied Informatics: Application Development from Karel de Grote-Hogeschool between 2013 and 2016. Ignace also attended Vrije Handelsschool Broeders from 2011 to 2013, focusing on IT Management. Ignace'seducation started at Berkenboom humaniora in 2007, where they studied Sciences.
